Hey Lewis called me back. Sorry to have bothered you. From time to time I come back and look through your album. I love the slick, clean look. Maybe one day I'll get up enough courage, or have enough beers, to do it on my own! Looks great!
One last question on the subject and I'll let it go and leave you alone. Does Lewis have a website? He never answers and doesn't return messages left. I love your overlay because the flag is in motion. Mine it's just static. It's ok, but it's not as nice as yours. I can find ones similar to your for trucks. But nothing for the Taurus.
No worries for the delayed reply. As you can see..I’m in the same boat. After seeing your pics I was on a quest to find that overlay for the camera logo. I don’t trust myself to be patient enough to do the Taurus badge removal. The removal I could probably do. It’s the proper spacing of the letters going back on the trunk. And even worse than not having the patience to do it right, i’m So picky, a tiny flaw would punch me in the face every morning in the garage. So over the years I’ve learned my limitations. I did find a company to do the static flag overlay. But I like you version better. Thanks for the phone number. I’ll reach out to him.
Good afternoon, I was looking for information on lowering springs for my '16 SHO. I think I've settled on the H&R's. The dealer quoted me a price including alignment so, I'm hoping, they'll know what they need as for the bolts. But the purpose of my message is to admire the picture of your trunk minus the badges. It's beautiful! How difficult was it to remove the badges? My second question is, where did you find the camera with the flag background? Is it a new camera or a laminate that covers the original? Your SHO is beautiful!
Hi, just found the article. The only thing I did different was that I just lowered the SHO/Ecoboost emblem to a lower position from the original...I liked it off-center better than the centered position.
Here is the link: "How-To" Rearrange Your Trunk Lid Badging / Emblems....
Good luck with your project, contact me if you have any other questions. Also I didn't use the heat gun to remove the badging. Mark
Yes, there is a How To about the badging, but I will have to hunt it, and then I will send you the post. I used fishing line to get the badging off the car and removed the residue using WD40. I will get back to you with the link to the article.
