06. SE model. 180k. 3.0 Vulcan or duratec dont know..
This poor car is going down hill fast. First the instrument cluster died. Kaput. Completely. 6 month ago
Then AC is nonOP. Though I wonder if it's due to the cluster dead.
Now a total engine misfire. 30 codes. Misfire. Bank 2 rich. Bank one rich.
Etc etc more misfire
I suspected bad gas as I had filled up that morning. The car went great to work and 3/4way home. Then splutter splutt cough. Rattle rattle click clack etc etc
I think it's a timing chain jumped?
Is Ford still using nylon timing gears?
A tensioner?
I dont know if this is a Vulcan or durtec 3.0?
180k miles though and in the AZ. desert heat since 08.
That's about lli can offer. Engine rattles bad. Starts. But labored some. Revs poor. Sounds worse when rev..

Ok. If that's the case.. then this is the 3rd! Coil in it in 3 month.
The original motor craft coil died. Misfire on 4 5 6. Last June. Replaced with a rockauto .spectra premium c565.
That lasted 40 days. Misfires.
Returned.
Got a standard brand d 498t.
More money.
This one lasted. 2 weeks. 14 days.
Why?
What's kills 3 coils in 3 months?
Mind you it's hot here. 110 daytime
90 at night.
Heat kills. But still.the original lasted.
13 years?

Codes. P: 1134 . 1158. Bank 1 rich bank 2 rich. P 1309.misfire detection.
Those codes repeated multiple times.
Before with the bad coil problems of last 2 months. I got p 1359 and 1360
Not this time.
The history. Up until now. The car ran just fine. Even with dash and AC not op.
Plugs and wires done at 100k. Few years ago.
I cannot image those would cause an engine to go from running fine to running crap in a matter of seconds.

You have heavy misfires going on but you know that. That is probably giving you the rich reading on your sensors. Make sure your spark plug wires are connected in the proper order. You show check your plugs gap because that will also put heavy load on the coil and kill it.

Also you did plugs at 100k miles, 80k miles is a lot for plugs depending on what type.

Yep they are all correct.
It wouldn't have run fine then suddenly in traffic run lousy. With wrong order.
And I checked the coil.
Swapped over to a friends dads 05 sel.
Ran fine before. Run fine after.
My bigger concern is the heavy rattling from the valve covers.
I still suspect jumped chain or valve train issues
