Can anyone identify this part?
99 SE 3.0 ovh
I believe that this is what you are referring to. It goes onto the top of the transaxle.
It would appear to be called a "Electrical Signal Operation Disconnect transaxle harness connector". This link shows testing options. Part number? Not sure. It appears to be attached to part of the shifter valve body.
I was changing my upper radiator hose today and unplugged this to make sure I didn't knock the connector and break it. Mine was full of oil so I had to clean it out with paper towels and Q-tips.
Hope this helps.
That looks like the part, the wires are broke and dropped down into the tranny, hopefully there is access to retrieve the wires, I will read thourghly, thanks!
You have to check to make sure that this matches your exact year/model, but it looks like this is the part:
I keep adding, but I believe that a 1998 Vulcan engine will have the AX4S rather than the AX4N transmission. This OEM manufacturer indicates that this would work on that application. Again, check to make sure it's the correct part!
AX4N Internal Wire Harness 1993-2003 -NEW- (D96967)
The price isn't bad, but of course, getting to it is the $20 question!
That?s the part, I will double check the transmission type to make sure, getting to it is going to be the challenge, thanks for your help!
