noise troubleshooting

I have a 2005 Sable with the OHV Vulcan v6. It makes a steady, high pitched chirping sound when I turn the engine on on a cold morning in winter, and sometimes when the engine gets hot on a summer day. It sounds like it's coming from around the driver side radiator fan, but it's not the fan, since I already replaced that. Any ideas on what it could be?

I solved my chirping by replacing the serpentine belt, it wasn't noticeably worn out but a brand new belt completely eliminated the issue for me.

It is most likely the cam synchronizer which is located near the driverside intake manifold. Here are a few pics without the sensor on the synchro.

The chirp is at the speed of the camshaft so it is usually slower chirp than a belt chirp.
