Magic shutdown

I found an oring leaking in the a/c system replaced it and recharged system.
Air works great with no leaks. Drove for about 120miles car just shut off, it would restart and run for a minute then die again, after it sat for an hour or so it would start and run fine. I imediatiatly thought of fuel filter. I replaced it. I did notice a lot of dirt when I turn the old filter backward to drain into cup. Car ran great for about 120 miles again and then did the same thing again. Fuel pump is load but pumps 45lbs consistently. When car dies pressure is still at 45 lbs. I also noted the egr tube from the exhaust up to the valve itself is missing, the exhaust has been plugged but not the egr valve itself. This Issa 3.8. Anybody have any ideas?
