Two years ago, both of the front outside tie rods were replaced. This month the same mechanic told me the passenger-side front tie rod needs to be replaced again. I paid him to get it replaced anyway. My question is: Doesn't tie rod last two years?

What kind of parts is he using? Hit any curbs, make lots of hard corners? Maybe the grease came out of the fitting.

Even if he installed the cheap brand, 2 years is definately way too soon.

Most aftermarket tie rod ends come with grease fittings, and are not greased at all from the factory. I am wondering if the mechanic forgot to grease it after the install No grease = real short life.
