I have a 02 Merc Sable LS Premium Wagon with 256,000 miles on it. We've owned it for about 10 years and got it with 76,000 miles on it iirc. Knock on wood no major issues with it, I've done all the work on it since we bought it, tune ups, brakes, cooling system, drivers door wiring fix, front suspension, and front end deer damage. It's hanging on for dear life and getting rusty and still drive daily but just babying it along (gotta get my 08 T-X back on the road).
If I could find a rust free 4th gen with Duratec, low miles, and relatively cheap I'd get another as I've got a lot of newer parts in this one, but that short wish list is an impossible dream I think.
I also have a 08 Taurus X AWD with 145,000 that trans went out and now swapping in trans from my 08 Merc Sable AWD with 114,000 miles (insurance totaled it but I may rebuild it spring of '18), while trans swapping I'm also changing the water pump and timing sets as preventive maintenance in the T-X. I like the T-X, sucks the tranny went out before I could make the first payment on it.
Bill.

My 03 Tse is pushing 218,312 miles. I just bought her a few weeks ago so I can't claim all of the glory. Since I've owned it I've replaced 02 sensor, thermostat, and the radio lol. There's more to come I think I'm having some electrical problems but I'll rant about that another time.

There are lots higher than me on this thread, but my '95 has 181,250 miles (approx) on it. I haven't done anything to it YET, but the PO says it needs a rad and a water pump (leaking), but stop leak seems to have plugged the leaks for the time being. It doesn't need a whole lot else (grease on the door latches and hinges, back tires, trunk keyhole, washer pump, and something n the front end (I'll post a thread about that in a minute). Oh, the body's not bad, either.

What will people think if they know that I'm a Jesus freak?
