The green machine is dead. 1999 - 2013 (Dial up/Mobile NO!)

Got word today the person who bought my car has been driving it with an overheat condition for the last two months and has blown the engine.

Here's photos of the work I did on it while I owned it.

Rear Deck Speaker Upgrade

Upper Engine Rebuild

New shoes

Detailed

Rear Drum to Disc Conversion

Oh well.

Here's how my truck is looking now-a-days

It NEVER fails.... you let a very nice car go, and it always ends up in the hands of someone that eventually destroys it. All that time and money for the engine rebuild is gone to waste now. So sad.....

"If I had money, I'll tell you what I'd do.... I'd go downtown and buy a Mercury or 2, crazy about a Mercury. Yeah, I'm crazy about a Mercury. I'm gonna buy me a Mercury and cruise it up and down the road!"

That sucks. It's tough when we sell a car we care about. While we maintain a certain psychological possesion and emotional attachment in reality it starts dying the minute we hand the keys over. Better we should never know it's fate

It's SHO time!

^+1 Just a head shaking shame,(rad, waterpump, fans, short on coolant?). I told the woman I sold my 92 to (over 200,000k.) I would do her maintenance 50 bucks an hour. just brakes tranny pan drops, oil changes, coolant changes, 2, o2 sensors, then I moved, I here its still running great. Your car Looked real nice too bad a clown fish got it.

I know the feeling! I was about to trade my older car in when I purchased my new car this year. I had negotiated everything, and was about to sign, for some reason I went out to my old car for something, and decided at that moment, I couldn't let it go. I walked back into the dealership, rearranged the financing, and went home with both cars.

Sorry to hear about that. People like that deserve Yugos or Vegas, or a Chevy Volt.

Cancer sucks. Cancer post-op is almost worse than the cancer. Best part is, being alive to b*tch about it!

Holy... so wrong.

I know the feeling. I once had my friend run a Carfax on my first car that had been long sold off at the time. Last I knew, it had still been going in Ohio.

A little afraid to look it up now, but if anyone ever has a Carfax to burn, let me know.

Ouch, sorry to hear the new owner wasn't really as caring as they should have been. Your Taurus looked really nice.
