A friend of mine YEARS ago had a 4 banger 5 speed Gen1 taurus. The 5 speed helped it but it was still a dog.

It probably didn't even get good gas milage because it had to rev so high to get anywhere...

I personally have had Taurii with the Vulcan and the Duratec engines, but I also voted for the 2.3L HSC I4 because my mom and dad owned 2 Tempo's at one point and I grew up with those cars haha. My family has also had a '93 Explorer, a '03 Explorer, and a '04 Explorer Sport Trac with the 4.0L Cologne engine.

We're a family haha

Lol the 3.8L essex, the v6 mustang engine

Gotta love the duratecs, for a car from the late 90s that engine sure has a lotta pull. I've driven a few vulcans... they were... uninspiring. No offense JIMMER, we all know your vulcan is bada$$

I'm surprised, given that most Taurus's were sold with the Vulcan, that the Duratec is still in the lead.

Holly: 2003 Taurus SES Deluxe, Duratec, spoiler, moonroof, OEM Centennials, JBL Audio. April '14 COTM winner.
Jill: 2010 Taurus SEL, 3.5L Duratec, Sync.

Vulcan was in the car from 1986-2007 M.Y. That is a win in my book
