2010 SHO HID bulb replacement?

I did a search on HID bulbs if this has been covered someone please provide the link. Thank you.

I wanted to change the temp of my HIDs to a whiter color. I changed my passenger side no problem. My driver side though looks nothing like my passenger side. The bulbs are the same but that's it. I cannot get my driver side bulb out. I have taken the headlights completely out. I even opened the bottom up to get a better view of the bulb. I have tried pliers, turned counter clock wise, and still nothing. I didn't want to break the bulb so I quit and put the headlight back on.

So how do I get the driver side headlight bulb out?

I know this is an old thread but, Iím having some of the same issues. My previous manufacturer was very simple. Pull up two rods, unplug the wires and the whole assembly came out in your lap. Iíve been able to remove the cover and zip tie on the passenger side. But I canít get my meat hooks in there to twist the bulb. I can see the bulb, just canít get in there enough to turn it. Any suggestions? Can you remove the whole assembly? The drivers side should probably be easier. Just take out the CAI. But I want to be sure I have the hard side done first.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I don't remember mine being difficult at all when I rebuilt my headlights for HIDs. My service manual calls for turning the headlight bulb one-eighth counterclockwise and removing the bulb.

Thanks Admiral. At least that confirms it work as standard bulb removal. Maybe the wifeís smaller hands are needed. She helped me hook up the trigger wire for the drive right.com drlís/turn indicators.

Benefits of being a 130lb 22 year old, I can fit my hands and arms in those little areas haha. I don't believe there are clips on the sides of the bulbs from what I remember. My Mustang has to clips to push on both sides and then you pull the headlight bulb out. My service manual never said anything about that but try your best to take as close of a look as possible because manufacturers tend to change little things here and there between trims and years.
