I found the hole that Ryne is referring to, I just can't find where it leads to.

Should I just poke a screw driver through it and see where it comes out?
Should I be worried about damaging anything while I'm poking through?

My car won't be a virgin after I'm through with her...

Just poke it. It actually comes out just above the bottom of the dash, but if you stick a wire through it, it'll pop out the bottom just under to the left of the glove compartment.

Yeah I think that's the same hole they used to install my original Car Alarm wiring that went to the Siren. Great someone mentioned it since I'm putting in this alarm myself...

there's nothing there to hit... just cut an X in the rubber plug and slide away... eventually it'll show up on the passenger side floor (the wire, not the plug. and if the plug shows up on the floor it means you pushed too hard. You gotta be gentle!! )

I was looking breefly for a gromet today while I was killing time, glad I stumbled across this. Where is it on the 4th gen and where does it come out? Doesnt matter if its drivers or passengers.

Ok. Well I've found the gromet, but for the love of me I can't find where it leads. I stick my finger in it and all i can feel is a hard metal surface, I slid in a coathanger, but it won't go through at a 90 degree angle, only downwards direction. And when it does go downwards, I can put about a meter worth of coat hanger down there without even knowing where the hell its going. Kind of like a worm hole.

Can someone take a picture of where it should come out from the inside?

Thanks

if you're using the hole i'm talking about, don't worry about where it comes out, just shove it through and you'll see it on the passenger floor. But, since I'm a nice guy, I got some photos for you. There's no way to get my camera to the point where the wire passes through the firewall, but these do well enough...
