Brake light goes on when there's insufficient level of brake fluid in reservoir. ABS light goes on together with it since ABS is disabled after brake fluid level reaches minimum.

Never heard of a case when it goes vice versa... if your ABS sensor go bad, then only ABS light goes on.

One way to check it is to check fluid level in reservoir and see if the light goes off.
Another - disconnect the level sensor at the brake fluid reservoir - it shows "full" while disconnected and usualle takes away both BRAKE and ABS light...

When my ABS electronics module failed it gave me a red light and amber ABS light both. However, since your issue came with a bump/crash likely look for related things. Rear sensor and wires would be first to be inspected.

^^^^^ Agreed..... probably damaged the wiring going to the rear ABS sensor. If wiring is damaged, just repair the wiring.... no need to replace the sensor itself if it isnt damaged.
