Cool Auto Dim Mirror

Hello fellow Bull owners! It has been forever since I have been on here and I have decided to keep my Taurus for another two years or so so that I can save up for a new Tahoe. In doing this, I want to add things to my Taurus. First of these being, besides my new HIDs, is to put on the Auto-Dim rearview mirror, which for whatever reason, did not come on the CENTENNIAL edition... of all editions. Anyway, does anyone know where I can get one from a reputable source (or if anyone has one) and for a reasonable price? I am hoping to spend fifty-ish bucks on it. I would love to have the one with the compass too. Also, I need some good directions on how to instal the mirror. I have been searching the forums, but have not found a good solid set of directions.

Thanks Guys!

Also, be looking for an update on my Taurus Centennial. I have added some mods and have new pictures!

Found one at LKQ. A Gentex w/compass and temp. Comes with a warranty (90 days)

Lincoln LS Continental OEM Auto Dim Rear View Mirror - eBay (item 140510162148 end time Mar-10-11 03:13:51 PST)

Let me know when you get it..I can help with hooking it up. I did one on my '97 with the temp and compass.

You might spend a little bit more, but they have EVERYTHING! They've also been featured in Car&Driver, Road & Track, Motortrend, and everyone that purchases form them always have something nice to say. Even though you spend a little more, you'll be satisfied until the end.

I can grab them at the LKQ yards from a Sable or Taurus 02/03 vintage for around $10, the standard issue compass/dim one. Shoot me an email or PM if interested.

Just pull one off a junk yard car for about 10 bucks. I did that for mine, and got it installed. Had to do my own wiring but it looks good practically brand new...Just take your time taking it off the windshield...well on your car, I pulled the mirror off of the junk car with some of the windshield. lmao

I just might have to make a trip there myself. I didn't even think to look for one of those mirrors when I was there last week. Do you know what all the years were that had that mirror?

Look at many late-model GM's, esp. Cadillacs. Much more popular there. Grab the button off the glass, they are different than the Ford buttons. Also pull out as much wire as you can. Basic dim/compass mirror only requires power and ground connections, temp requires two more wires and a sensor.
