Question Instrument cluster backlighting

I recently installed a white overlay kit on my instrument panel (speedo/tach/fuel/temp) but have noticed that the cluster doesn't light up as well as to be expected. I an looking for brighter bulbs but can only find the OEM version. The backlighting can be seen at night but it's very dim. The red indicator needles still light up as they should. Is there an aftermarket company that manufactures brighter bulbs?

You also need to consider the kind of bulb you are buying. LED's project differently than the stock incandescent bulbs. You want a "wide angle" LED to accurately brighten the whole area that each bulb is supposed to.
