2013 SHO - Leaking Turbo housing

Took my SHO in a for an oil change and the dealership advised my Turbo housing is leaking and recommend a replacement turbo as at cost of $3000!

Question is, is best to just back to OEM, and what is the best place to source the part myself etc.? Any helpful tips and recommendations will be welcome.

83,500 miles and never missed an oil change/maintenance.

2013 Taurus SHO with Performance Package: Air Raid Cold Air Intake: Magnaflow twin pipes with performance mufflers: De-baged. SCT X4 93 Canned Tune,( 3bar map sensor, 170 thermostat, gapped plugs to be installed), smoke tint headlights

Well, I guess you could try to get one from a salvage vehicle? Would that be something you're comfortable with?

What's leaking on it?

Pretty cheap turbo from Ford, $430 $3000 must be all labor.

Thanks for the link.

They just said leaking from the housing. I have booked it in with a local turbo specialist for Monday for a 2nd opinion

Update: Got the 2nd opinion and the rear turbo has blown (is this listed as the "left" turbo? as they are noted as left and right).

2nd quote was $2200 (part from Ford is $1200 CAD).

I can have the turbo's rebuilt from $590 each (if I choose this option I will have both rebuilt) but I will have to remove the turbos from the vehicle first.

I did see Rock Auto has the turbo's to at $625 CAD (Rotomaster).

However I may just trade the SHO in - looking at a Hyundai Genesis G80 5.0 V8 AWD or an Infiniti Q50s AWD.
