2005 taurus pcv valve location

2005 taurus se, not sure if its a ohv or ohc, looking to find exact location of pcv valve for this car

Welcome! You 1st need to determine if you have an ohv (Vulcan) or dohc (Duratec) as the pcv valves are in different locations. If the 8th character of your vin# is a U,1 or 2, it's a Vulcan. If it's an S, it's a Duratec.

Sheila is correct amundo! I have a vulcan which is a OHV and my PCV valve is located on the passengers side of the car on the rear valve cover almost right above the number 1 spark plug. If you get a chaqnce check out other threads as it relates to where stuff is on a OHV engine and a DOHC engine. I believe there are some pics to aid you. Good luck!!

^+1. Iirc, pcv valve on an '05 tec (dohc) is mounted horizontally on drivers end rear cam cover.
