Welcome to TCCA!

DO NOT CREATE A THREAD IN THIS FORUM FOR ANY REASON OTHER THAN TO INTRODUCE YOURSELF! THREADS POSTED HERE FOR ANY OTHER PURPOSE WILL BE DELETED.

NO CIRCUMSTANCES should repair questions be asked in the Introduction Forum. Part of what makes this site such a great resource is the wealth of information that can be found and researched here. Chances are good you have taken advantage of it already through the web or our search function. If you were looking at previous threads for repair information you probably didn't find answers in the Introduction Forum since their titles and location would certainly not have grabbed your attention nor assisted you in finding them. (Also please keep that in mind when creating thread titles.) Don't just take, add something. By creating repair threads in the proper forum with a fitting title you are helping the next person researching the issue and giving something back. Many of our more experienced and involved members will not give repair assistance in the Intro Forum for just that reason. Additionally not everyone reads the introduction forum, some of the 'experts' confine their reading to their area of expertise. Besides, not only is it rude to request help before saying hello but most of our parents taught us not to talk to strangers but to always try to help a friend.

We do not expect, nor do we need to know, your life story. A simple hello, what you drive (year, model, trim level, engine type) and what state/province/country/planet you drive it around is all anyone ever needs to post. If you want to say a little more that's great, folks are more inclined to assist someone they find likable. But keep in mind this is a car forum, understand your audience and keep it PG-13 please. Do not be rude or antagonistic. You only get one chance to make a first impression and many people will not help someone in a repair thread that had an unpleasant intro post.
