The best cleaner I have found is Westley's Bleach White - used to be used for whitewall tires. Best cleaner around.

Gasoline. Use some common sense here.

Water based spray brake cleaner.

Nail Polish remover. Ordinary nail polish remover.

similar problem

I have a weird film on the inside of my windshield. I have tried winded and stove cleaner to get it off, and it is still there.
I will have to try that Compound Cleaner and see if that works.
