I bought a laptop and a camera/mic. I took some videos of my various vehicles and their exhausts. Several people have wanted sound clips in the past, but I didn't have the means to record anything. I also need to find a video converter tool. The camera saves in AVI format, but 45 secs was about 6megs at 320x200. I guess MPG or WMV would be smaller.
Can anybody host the videos/sound clips to post in the Engine forum?

The Borla on the Contour is still louder than the Borla on the Taurus.... the Contour gets more internal resonance, while the Taurus is louder outside. (lots of sound deadening in the Taurus too)
Otherwise, I'd have to say, no... the Borla on the Taurus sounds the same as the day I installed it.

Holy shit...that sounds freakin nice. I have the exact same car as you (99 Duratec) and I just wanted to know how much you paid for it (sorry if you already said it in a previous post). That is the exact sound I would want for my taurus.

to me my Borla exhaust sounds louder on the inside than the outside. but its defenietly gotten louder than it first was. has yours yet? or do you still barely drive it?

I've been driving this Taurus this week, and put the Contour away.
The tone outside is certainly louder than inside. It may have grown a bit louder since it was installed. I'm hoping the tone will deepen a little bit too. I have a tiny exhaust leak at the front connection where I had to cut the flex pipe appart to adapt it to the y-pipe... but it's barely noticeable. I'm gonna take care of that with a welder.
I'll get a newer sound clip....

i'm gonna have to go under the car and tighten all the clamps before i leave for florida friday. just to make sure its all good. maybe mine is louder on the outside.. don't know yet cause its too cold to drive with the windows down for longer than a minute.

Was this one flowmaster muffler on a taurus, and what engine do you have? This sound is exactly the sound i would want on my taurus.

Got a longer clip? Maybe of one driving too? What series flowmasters?
I like the Borla catback sound ... it sounds so nice. Does anyone knows where can I get for the SHO?
