How do I tell my car to go faster?

My 2002 Taurus sometimes has noticeably faster acceleration from a stop than other times. I haven't been able to find a reason why. I read somewhere on here a while ago that if you rev it a little you tell the computer to push out more power, I wanna know if that true, and if not, then how do you tell the computer to give as much power as possible without flashing the ECU or adding a chip?

Thank you

By putting your right foot all the way to the floor. Make sure your floor mat isn't getting in the way.

lol guys i'm serious.. If I floor it, sometimes it accelerates really fast, but even a couple hours later, it won't be as fast. Does it have anything to do with the engine being warm or cold?

Video's of said noises would help, cause it's hard to go off your descriptions.
