Ok vetarans help me weed out the crap from the good products. I would like to do one of these mods but I am very secptical I've seen the advertiser Gforce chips claiming 60hp for around $70 but I'm calling their bluff because they sell the same damn thing for a Dodge Neon. As a former Neon guy I know for those cars chips won't do jack, the only way you could get more power like that would be a standalone EFI. Anways guys which brands work and what's crap? Please give me some recommendations thanks

If you want 60hp or more you need forced induction.
How much are you willing to spend? 10hp may cost $300 while 60 may cost $2000... Tuning chips and performance tunes don't do much at all for these cars stock. Sent from my iPhone using AutoGuide.com App

Yeah I figured as much, I think I'll stick to easy bolt ons and finish piecing together my nitrous kit

Just be careful about blowing the head gaskets on your vulcan... Just forewarning.

I did a ton of research and went with the JET 'chip'. Though it will be replaced next summer with a full stand alone. Most of the chips are just cheap resistors that trick the ECU into thinking there is more incoming air, thereby forcing more fuel spray. It will make you run rich and not really help. I would suggest doing all the bolt ons first, then consider the SCT tune.

Is the SCT tune one of those hand held devices that plugs into the OBD2 ports?
