No Codes show up as such. I do occasionally have a Cyl 4 miss... but, that's another story I believe.

I glanced at the purge valve, and hoses are connected to it.

I need help with this !

Did you count them to make sure all three are there? The loose hose should connect to one of the two larger barbs on the bottom.

I went to the Ford Dealer... parts department... and glanced at the diagrams they had... and that was of no help.

This is driving me nuts. I can't believe I can't figure this out.

behlinla ... the vacuum line running to the purge valve is connecting to the bottom of the intake. It seems fine. The loose vacuum line connects to the right of that... up a bit the side of the intake.

Okay, let's try the EGR vacuum regulator (solenoid). It's bolted onto the passenger side of the intake and has a circular cap on it. There should be two vacuum hoses connected to the bottom.

Do you have EGR codes you're not telling us about? Make sure your check engine light works when you start your car.
