Default what transmission fluid 2003 taurus


I have a 03 taurus that needs a top up of tranny fluid as i was leaking quite a bit from a plugged vent...

its now just below the cross hatch area so i dont know how much ill have to add ....

now my question is what kind of fluid

-Mobil 1 Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid

-Mobil ATF +4

-Mobil ATF D/M

-Mobil Dexron-VI ATF Fluid

so many choices.....

The top one if it satifies mercon v specs. Should state on the label. Always add atf in pint (16oz.) or 1/2 pint (8oz.) increments. Add and check. Add and check. Also, always check atf level with engine warm and idling in park. In your case, i would add a pint (16oz.) and call it good.

Wow... read in the owner manual, it says clearly that needs to be Mercon V compatible.
