I need to replace the rear turn signal light bulb in a Gen 4 Taurus. How do you replace it? I've removed the trunk carpet liner already.

I think you'll need to take out the light assembly to get at the bulb.

There's about three screws holding a metal cover to the light assembly in place (seen from inside the trunk). But, there's a lot of foam and rubber seals around the lens I don't want to damage anything. Would this give me access to the light bulb from inside the trunk or would it also loosen and open the outside lens?
You know what I mean?

Do any Gen. 4 owner care to comment on this? I've found a rubber plug that connects to a wire harness. Can that be pulled out? Does it hold the light bulb itself? Does the entire metal cover need to be removed to replace the bulb?

Is this thing on? Anyone?

I might write a book one day called Diabetes: Friend or Foe.

I got to look in the glove box more often.
