Our 98 Taurus wagon had 228K when son sent it to an early grave and our 99 Sable now has almost 192K and is still my wife's daily driver, and is still comfortable to drive.

Default 2000 Taurus SE died at 230,000

My wife's 2000 Taurus SE had 230,000 on it.

I screwed up and used LUCAS in it at 199,000. The LUCAS cleaned all the varnish out quickly and plugged the intake on the oil pump and the oil passages going to the lifters. Drove it 30,000 with a noisy lifter, then capoof! Never use LUCAS in an older engine with varnish. I had real good success with Marvel Mystery Oil in 4 to 8 oz. doses, though. Smooths out engine real nice.

Default 1997 GL

My 97 has 216,655 on it. Usually put about $800 a year in to it between a few repairs and maintenance. Still runs great.
