Bad experiences w/ Bosch Platinum spark plugs surface on these forums from time to time. Let's get an official count going so we can put this debate to bed! If you have a result that doesn't fit one of the above categories, post your explanation here.

I'd like to see the results of this one. I'm due for plugs before long and would like to know before hand.

Haven't tried them, but I think that should be kept in mind; Motorcraft stock dual platinums will do the exact same thing, cheaper, and they're actually designed for our engines. That's why I haven't used the Bosch; I've never had a complaint with the OEM's.

I've used Bosch Platinum 4's in my 1993 Mitsubishi Diamante with Bosh wires. I owned the car since 1999 and never had a problem with them. I also installed Platinum 4's when I bought my 98 Taurus back in November of '02 and I've put 14,000 miles on them and they're still fine. I'm completely satisfied

I actually drove a Contour for 8 years (95) so I'm pretty familiar with the Duratec engine. If they use the same waste fire ignition as the 2.5, I believe the consensus over at Contour.org was that Motorcraft was the only way to go. I believe Bosch plugs were fine in other applications.
I had also put in Bosch platniums before I read those threads on the spark plugs and they lasted about 20k before I had to replace them with the Motorcraft ones. Other people haven't been as lucky and got less or had serious problems right away. I think the autolite plugs were also good.
