2002 DOHC Taurus can't adjust temperature hot or cold EATC code 024 and 051

Hey guys, I have a 02 DOHC Taurus, with EATC, I can not adjust the temperature for hot or cold. I did the self diagnostics test and I get two codes, 024, and 051. I purchased a new Blend Door Actuator, Motorcraft YH-1759-F7DZ-19E616-BA. I do not know where it is on my car, all the pictures and videos on Youtube that I have watched are for the non EATC version. Can anyone assist me with a picture or video tutorial or what I need to do to change this part? thanks.

This is all I see behind the glove box.

This is what I see under the dash on the driver side.

Not a bad job, same location on either climate control. Be sure you have "ATC" on your blend motor. Motors look identical except for color and the label. It is behind the glove box. You can see it without removing the glove box but the screws are a bit of a trick. I use a small strip of masking tape over the hex head to make the screw stick to the socket for putting them back.

Best of luck.

Have you tried to reboot/recalibrate the eatc system via the eatc self-test? Might pull the radio with din keys, glovebox and lower black plastic passenger kickpanel for access to the bda. Iirc, the auto eatc bda sits between the 2. On gen3's, harder to access than the manual bda which sits directly behind the radio. Again if iirc, it's caged/framed and the blower fan control module may be in the way. The sunload (solar radiation) sensor is the small black domed thingy that sits atop the dash. It controls hvac system and autolamps if equipped. Member bull geek (Nick) has a good tutorial with pics in the forum topic finder titled: Autolamps are fixed. If you have autolamps, are they functional?

Last time I replaced a BDA, I found it easier to remove the ICP (takes under 1 minute with DIN tools) and access the BDA thru the ICP opening.

Yes like Jeff said. I did the same thing to get at it, but it was the type for the rotary manual controls.
