Since buying my car in September, I've been going through it and doing maintenance as tie and money allow. I want to replace the pcv valve next. I don't see where it is when I look under the hood, and an online search leads to talk about Windstar 3.8's.
Is the pcv on these motors difficult to change? Any preference on brand (I know some vehicles prefer the OEM pcv's over aftermarket).

![]() ![]() rear right side as said before, actually very easy to replace but make sure the grommet is also good before you put the new one on. Last edited by aquinoj; 02-26-2013 at 01:42 PM. |

Ok, well I found it, thanks to you guys. Embarrassingly obvious, once pointed out. I have a pic also, this is what I thought the PCV valve was. What is this piece that goes into the valve cover next to the oil fill cap/dipstick? When I push/pull on it gently, it has oil leaking out of it.

Thats the hose that draws the fresh air into the crankcase that the PCV valve sucks out.
