Hello all,
I have an on going problem with the fuel gauge on my 2005 sel. The gauge works some of the time (most of the time it does not work). could this be the sending unit? could I have a loose wire? will I have to drop the fuel tank to replace sending unit? |

Usually it's a bad flex fuel sensor module.

Thanks for the response. i did some checking on prices for this part. Auto zone wants $729.00; rockauto.com wants $629.00. this is an expensive part.

That's way too much. It's wrong in the catalog. Part number is YF1Z-14A069-AA and it's only about $50-60.

It isnt the flex fuel SENSOR that is likely bad, its the flex fuel MODULE thats bad. Its a small electronic module under the dash. Its the SENSOR that costs big $$$$$, not the module.
