Need some advice. Got hit....*roughly* how much to fix/to do myself?

Wow.That is so expensive. I just had to have $890 for new stabilizers, bearings, struts, etc in relation to this accident. I have only had the car for two months, and am a poor college student, so on top of that 890 it was 600 for a new ignition coil, spark plugs, and wires. I am going broke from this car!

To clarify and fill y'all in: the police report WAS in my favor; this kid repeatedly stated that it was indeed his fault. However, his BS insurance company, Alfa Vision, claims "their policy holder" denies knowledge of who this kid was (even though he showed up at the accident and almost punched me when I insisted the police be called; if they hadn't shown up he would have punched me square in the face, even though HIS kid ran a red light).

I don't know anything about lawyers, but I do know that as q0987 said, I may win, but if they don't have any money, then i'm S.O.L....

Car insurance follows the car. The car insurer pays regardless of who is driving.

Both my parents work in Insurance and Claims. They have illustrated this to my brother (new driver) and I many, many times.

Just got the denial letter. It states: after careful review.....we find you had a financial responsibility bond (which I think is just an sr-22), which provides coverage for you {the guys dads name}; it does not provide any coverage for unlisted drivers. We will be unable to provide any coverage for this loss. I will be closing the case.

Damn, these guys seem like heartless bastards. I lost my job because my car was wrecked for over a month, as they kept di__ing me around the whole time, until they just let me know they decided they didn't have to help me.
Someone says to file in the court of common pleas, and I don't even know if I have a case since it was just an sr-22

What kind of insurance company is this? I've seen some crappy treatment from insurance companies, (took three months to get my truck fixed), but this takes the cake.

You need to contact an attorney. Often times insurance companies will deny a claim because they believe that the person making the claim won't fight it and therefore the insurance company is not out any money. Most states require liability collision insurance (minimum coverage) for cases like this and cover any and all persons driving a vehicle except in cases where the vehicle was reported stolen.

If you fight with them or even have an attorney contact them they will in many cases cave and pay the claim.
