Default Switching to EATC from manual!

Good afternoon,

Is this possible to do this with a 2007 Taurus SEL? I've recently become an owner, and I bought a new OEM EATC deck. When I took out my current deck, which was manual, I observed that all the cords don't fit (duh). Probably because I do not have an RCC, as I've learned by reading this forum? Any ideas if it's possible to retrofit a new 2004-2007 EATC deck into a 2007 Taurus with manual HVAC?

Thanks -

djunified has a little shameless behaviour in the past

It is very possible to do the retrofit if your willing to give up some time and cash for parts. I successfully did the conversion on my '99, which was fairly easy considering the availability of parts at local u-pull scrapyards. Since you already have the deck, or commonly referred to as the ICP, count yourself lucky if you got it at a scrapyard because most people tend to jump on them from what i've seen. They take the ICP but not the actual guts that make up the EATC system.

Aside from the ICP, you will need the RCC, blower motor speed controller, the EATC blend door actuator, vacuum tubes, sensors, and wiring. All of these parts can be found cheap if you go to the right yard.

You will also need wiring diagrams to help you along the way, or you can follow the detailed guide posted by taurusKev on this forum that is in depth.

QuinnSHO is on a distinguished road

You'd be killing aftermarket radio options though...unless you want MORE money and time into that.
