Default What is this hose (with label ABG_4999)

Hello all,

What is the hose with label ABG 4999 shown in the video?

I need some space and would like to remove this hose in order to check my pcv hose in the back. What is inside the hose and can I take it off temporarily?

Thank you

Not sure what it is, but you can take it off. It seems to be a hose with air in it. So it's not like coolant will spew everywhere.

You should invest in a factory service manual for your car. They sell them on ebay. Very helpful guide for things like this.

You do have a point. Want to do me a favor and look up where the fuel pressure regulator is on a 2000 vulcan? I don't have my manual with me, and someone else on the forum need the info.

Hello Sam,

I can only find Fuel Pressure Relief Valve which I assume you know where it is.

Also, I did some resarch for you and here is the best one I can find:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...0065011AAFSbHi

"The regulator IS in the fuel rail if you have a V-6 engine.(the 12 cyl. Round cylinder on the fuelrail on top the engine with a 90 degree vacuum hose connector going to it."

Please let me if you need other stuff.

Best

behlinla is just really nice

It's a coolant line. It runs from the thermostat housing to the throttle body and warms it up in the winter.

You can take it off, but might spill a little coolant.
