Typical Taurus?

So I have a few problems ive been told are pretty typical for a taurus.. I have a 2001 SES with 178xxx miles on it. Right now my biggest problem with winter coming is my power windows do not work at all, nor do my power locks (unless using the clicker) or power mirrors. I used to be able to wiggle the wire harness in my driver door to make them work, now nothing at all will make them work. My driver door doesnt even register as open when it really is open, dome light does not kick on unless another door is open. HELP?!

Maybe the loose wiring caused a fuse to pop? Did you check the fuses?

You need to tear apart the door jam connector since everything goes through the driver's door. Probably a couple of broken wires, plus a fuse from shorting out.

Broken wire in the door harness is most likely since you said wiggling it used to make things work. The wire finally separated for good. Unfortunately, the wires often break inside the insulation with little outward sign of damage. Start checking where the wires flex the most. Good luck.
