I have a 2003 taurus 3.0 v6 vulcan. it makes this terrible squealing noise and is on the passenger side. i have replaced the alt, the belt. the crank shaft pully and harmonic balencer and idler pulley. it went away for a few days and then is back. should i change the belt tensioner. any suggestions please. i am desperate at this point.

It's probably the tensioner out of alignment. $55 at Autozone/Pepboys/O'Reilly's

He did say passengers side. So it's something to do with the serpentine belt.
Flash a light down there and see if it all looks lined up. Could be something stuck, could be a lax tensioner.

it is a chirp that gets worse with accelerating.

Could be water pump bearings or the tensioner. Take off the serpentine belt and start without it. Do not run more than a minute or 2 and see if it is still there. If it is chirping check the Cam position sensor. If not check the tensioner and see if it has wobble or play in idler wheel or tension wheel. Then check the end play of the water pump, alt, and power steering pump.
Wish I could actually see and hear it in person. I am just throwing some random thoughts of what I would try. Good luck and let me know what up after you check it out. |

Usually you hear the chirping noise from the drivers side, is this your noise?

Depends on how good hearing is and the ability to discern the source. It is located almost centered so it can be a puzzle for the first time it is encountered as to the sounds location. |

You are right, it looks like the guy in the video didn't even know where it was coming from. Let's see if this is OP's noise first though to rule it out.
