Manual Door Locks Won't Unlock Car

I own an optionless 99 Taurus LX that has manual door locks. My problem is when I go to unlock the driver door the key doesn't move or unlock the door. The passenger door works fine but not the driver door. Now this is weird because it use to be the opposite the driver door would unlock and passenger door wouldn't. I'm using the original factory Ford key that came with the car that isn't bent or damaged in any way. Has anyone had a problem like this before or know how to fix it?

Does the key turn in the lock or does it not even turn at all? Can you lock/unlock manually from the inside? I'm thinking that you have a broken or disconnected door lock rod but you'll have to get the door panel off to be able to see.

The key will not turn at all. I pull the lock up or down inside the car but can't unlock the car from the outside on the drivers side of the car.

Might try some graphite or penetrant. Sounds like the lock may be seized.
