Ok well I spent all night getting very frustrated with aiming my gen 2's headlights. the passenger side headlight is aimed so high my beam is over cars about 50 feet in front of me.

So my question is what does what? I see there are 2 aiming posts, the bottom post does the side to side and the top one does the up and back but what is which? is righty tighty on the top post bringing the beam up or bringing it down? and on the bottom post which makes it go left or right. ?

i know thats the obvious question. but i feel like it does both, i know thats stupid but I was just getting so frustrated with it. I wanted an answer in stone so I feel like I know what I am actually doing. because each turn I give it is so minesquel and takes forever to get anywhere.

wow really... I had no idea.

anyway, after some tweaking with it for a while I sort of figured it out but however Im pretty sure I broke the passenger side aiming clip. so now it wobbles alot. which isn't good. and the beam is still too high! When parked on the street I am shining into second story windows and above on 3-4 houses down from me.

sorry to hear theat you may have broke the clip is it replaceable or are you up the shata creek with out a paddle btw i have been looking all day for a good discription on head light adjust ment that is better then the other i listed it just boils down to this is how they all look see text below

Used to adjust headlight beams up or down and left or right, it's located above and to the side of light behind the headlight retainer.

which by your recation i can see why your pissed off have you looked threw a chiltons manual they used to be better and thicker then holy bibles now they got the thin version that as thick as repair manual for toyota gas pedals lol's any ways i will do a little more searching on the web but do not think i will have any more luck.

yeah well this is what happened. I got the passenger beam down . it was litterally above houses at one point. NO JOKE. so bad. but now it is about right at the rearview mirror if a car is about 50-75 feet away from me. and if there 100 ft away it goes over their car. its still pretty bad IMO. and when I was loosening the stud and getting the beam down, at one point it felt very easy to do. and then I felt alot of movement in it.
