The reason I asked is that the car has been missing for a few weeks and finally got bad enough to make the CEL come on. My wife took it by Advanced auto and the computer says misfire on cylinder 4. I have swapped the COT's around and nothing changed. Do you change the wires on a COT?

If you swapped the coil and the problem was still there on 4, then why not check the plug first before thinking it was the wire?

Plugs were the first thing that I changed. Sorry I didn't mention that.

What was the condition of the #4 plug when you removed it? How did it look compared to the others? This could give you an idea of why/how this cylinder is misfiring.

It didn't look any different(at a glance) than the others. I've since thrown them away so I can't take a closer look now. Any idea how this car is fuel injected? Could that be the problem?

How many miles on the car now? Did you use dielectric grease on the coil to plug boots when installing the new ones? Check the inside of the suspect coil and exposed ceramic portion of the #4 plug for carbon tracking. Inspect the coils for hair line cracks.

You may have a fuel injection issue. Condition and color of the misfiring plug can tell you a lot. Pull the #4 plug and check the color of the plug tip. Granted the plug is still new, so it may not be obvious, but if the ceramic around the plug tip is white, you have a lean condition, if it's dark, and discolored, you have a rich condition. If the fuel injector is bad it may be dumping fuel causing the rich condition or its clogged causing a lean condition.

Here is a link with spark plug colors associated with problems.

The fuel injectors spray fuel into the intake manifold right before the intake valve. There's one injector per cylinder.
