Everytime I try to put gas in (tried all positions and speeds) it clicks off. Tried at several stations. Have to slow it down to where it is barely pumping. Takes about 15 minutes to put in 10$. Checked with the dealer, he was no help other than trying to sell me a lot of parts "it could be" Any ideas?

Do you use any kind of fuel injector cleaner in a bottle? A few people on here have found that the silver foil gets caught in the trap of the filler neck (as well as other debris).

just use a air hose and shot air in there you must have a debris or a rag

ive seen this once you may want to remove only the filler tube (rubber hose)

You're going to have to remove the filler neck to remove the foil if it's in there, I've seen it too many times.

Another of my cars ('02 Hyundai) has intermittent problems with this and a friend said to check the Evaporative Emissions Control system. There is a pressure sensor in the tank monitors pressure. All this equipment collects and stores all the gas fumes that formerly were released into the atmosphere. Haynes manual has some information on it. I have not addressed the issue on the other car because it's not being a "pain" now.

I know this is probably a little thing, but, do you buy your gas at the same station every time? Sometimes I've had problems with filling my car too and I have to very gently squeeze the pump so that the auto shut off doesn't engage... Specific pumps at the station I buy gas from seem to give me the most problems. Probably isn't the solution, but just a thought.

A sticking vent solenoid can sometimes cause an issue filling.
