Hello All,
Just joined the site. Love it!
I have a strange problem going on with the hazards on my 1998 Sable. They will not work! If I try to turn them on the turn signals stop operating as well. Tried changing the MFS with a new(used) one that worked ok on the 1997 taurus it came off of. Still din't solve it.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for your help and expertise!

Probably the hazard switch itself. I had to do that repair on mine too.

Your hazard lights and turn signals use the same bulbs but they use separate flasher units. The reason the turn signals stop when you turn on the hazard lights is because multifunction switch disconnects the circuit from the turn signals so that it can connect all four lights to the hazard flasher. If the fuse for the hazard lights isn't blown, replace the hazard flasher. Your drivers handbook should tell you where it is.

Good luck, Popeye
