hey guys i'm going to replace my o2 sensor as it's tripping the CEL. supposedly it's identified that bank 2 sensor 1 is at fault. i want to make sure i have this right......
bank 1 is near firewall bank 2 is towards front bumper sensor 1 is upstream of the cat sensor 2 is downstream of the cat also how do i clear the code when the repair is done? on other cars i've disconnected the battery's ground to clear it out......

Disconnect the battery for like 10 minutes then drive your bull like you stole it for a week so it'll relearn your driving habits.

im not sure bout the taurus but for the windstars there is a way to rest the computer with just removing a fuse from the engine bay fuse box. i cant remember the number but i know its the 15 amps one.
and to add to the confusion, i thought bank one was the one towards you.

It goes:
Firewall 123 456 Radiator Bank two is radiator side, sensor one is upstream of the Cat; like you said mahatma. To reset the DTC, disconnect the + side of the battery, and leave it off for 30 seconds.
