Breeves002's 2000 Sable
She didn't want to stay running thismorning. Started on the first try (after a few seconds of cranking). However, she nearly stalled several times. Didn't stall though. I let it warm up for a few seconds and the rpm's dropped down to 900 then I felt it hesitate and chug and then the rpm's flew back up to 1500. Then went down to around 500 and hung out there so I gave it some gas. When I let off the pedal it then stayed at 1500rpm again for a while. When it came down this time, no issues.
Ideas? What causes a slight misfire/hesitation when cold? Do I need a new iac
or did mine act normally?

My thoughts are either IAC
. Leaning more towards IAC
because of it hanging around 500. With throttle almost fully closed it should idle normally. I'd take off your IAC
and see how dirty it is.
