they all have crappy trannies....go with a g4 because they are at ax4n which is the least crappy...(ill confirm it)
plus for reliability, go with a g1/g2 SHO or g3/g4 any.
the 3.8 essex engines blow headgaskets like a tea pot.
for the g3/g4, don't go ax4s......ax4n are a tad better
For engine, yamaha 3.0 or 3.2 in the first SHOs or the vulcan/tec/Yamaha 3.4 in the later gens are good
