I've noticed that from 2012 to 2013 models that power rating went up from 263 to 288...tuning I assume? The biggest reason I ask is the fuel ratings on my Magnum were listed as 16/25, but that car doesn't do 25 hwy on a bet, I don't care how tender you drive.

So real world, what kind of numbers are you getting on the 2010-up 3.5? I do a lot of hwy travel so this is a sticking point for me. Ratings I've seen say 18/27 and 19/29 for 2013-up. Are these close or unreal?
I also drive a Maggie, 5.7,fulltime AWD and get 26..might check tuning. My 12 Bull is getting between 22-30...depending how I feel that particular day.

I bought a 2013 SEL with 40,000 miles about 6 weeks ago. Drove it from NC to Toronto and back. best trip was Pittsburgh to Toronto, when I got 30.3 mpg. This is real flat and I drove about 65 mph. In WV mountains it was around 27.5. The whole trip on the highway was about 28.5.

Took a 750 mile roundtrip drive over yesterday and today. Averaged 31.2mpg on my way north/east, averaged 29.2mpg on my way south/west. Had a headwind on my way south/west and was driving faster, different roads.

We've been averaging 23-24mpg in mixed driving. 2013 SEL with 18 inch wheels.

1989 Chrysler LeBaron 63,000 miles
2013 Ford Taurus SEL 40,000 miles

My 2016 SEL (2.0 Ecoboost) gets 17.5 MPG with a mix of city and highway driving (60 MPH). There is a drop in the EPA estimates from the 2015 to 2016 model year (combined 26 down to 23). I'm not sure why the drop, but I'm not getting anywhere near the mileage that everyone is posting. I think that I made a mistake paying extra for the Ecoboost...

Current mileage on the car?

MPG is not meaningful until after 1k miles.

The 2.0L should pay dividends on the highway. I can see it being a little thirsty in the city--it's a small engine pulling a lot of car up to speed--but that should even out nicely with the highway part of your run.

Even my 2.3L EcoBoosted Explorer with AWD is pulling 23-24 mixed driving. Yours should be getting better than mine. Mine is a heavier vehicle than yours and a brick aerodynamically.

500 miles. I have had a chance to review some of the other posts and you are probably right and I should wait until 1,000 miles before I panic. I also just read that the turbo won't get the best mileage until after about 4,000 miles. I really appreciate the reply and I will post back with any changes!

My 2013 get MUCH better mileage at 65mph than 80, but 80 gets me home faster.
Onboard computer shows 28-30 at 65, 22-24 at 80.

I am primarily using ethanol free gas from the Wal-Mart near my job, with an occasional tank from the local grocery store to use the discount.

When I was driving 60 miles a day for work I was getting average about 25 mpg. Now that I drive mostly city I get about 19. I keep the odometer on the miles until empty. All highway I got roughly 420 miles from a tank, all city I get roughly 320. 2010 limited

My fuel economy varies wildly - average tank anywhere from 19-31MPG. 2013 SEL. Weather, remote start usage, and driving habits all come in to play with me. This winter an average tank was anywhere from 19-22, where last summer was anywhere from 25-28 typically.

Current: 2013 Ford Taurus SEL
Past:
2001 Lincoln Continental, still running, 190k+
1997 Cadillac Deville, still running, 180k+
