This is a fine place to post that.

I have always hated E10 gasoline because it yields less power and lower fuel economy. The gasoline also spoils faster as ethanol turns into water much faster.

It also drives up food prices because of the use of all that corn.

Please, let's stop turning to ethanol and stick your research in nitrogen powered cars. Costs nothing compared to hydrogen, and makes way more sense than electric - both from a consumer standpoint and from a enviornmental impact standpoint.

Screw this ethanol blend garbage. My 92GL met it's demise of a trans failure from an accident. I parked it in my parents back yard with intentions of fixing it and just never got to it. Time, critters, and the elements took it's toll on the car so, due to homowners insurance, I had to scrap it a couple years ago.

When I parked it, the car had about 1/2 tank of gas....... PURE gas, none of this E10 ****, from 1999. Before I scrapped it, I poped a battery in the car turned the key, and it fired up. Ran pretty nice too. If I leave a 1/2 tank of gas in my lawn mower for 3 months it jells up and makes it run like crap. The government can have this crap.

Ford says you can't use E15 on anything older than a 2013, or you risk damage that will not be covered under warranty. That pretty much sums up my view on it.

I'm smart enough to always check the posted ethanol content of the gas before I fill up at an unfamiliar station, but I'm worried about all the other people that couldn't tell you what E15 or octane even means. When they wreck their cars who are they going sue? The poor gas station owners, the gas companies, or the EPA?

Stations that sell E15 would need to make it very clear what they're selling. Just like E85 has yellow pumps, E15 pumps should have blaze orange pump covers and hoses. The sticker should say "E15 - Warning: contains up to 15% ethanol. Check your vehicle owner's manual for compatibility. Illegal for use in vehicles older than 2001 model year."

Personally I haven't bought gas that has ethanol in it for about a year. Fuel economy is good as ever.

Looks like you're going to have to go for a drive. There's sort of an "exclusion zone" around St. Louis.

Looks like it. Oh well, 10% for me!

I remember when they started using 10% up north. I went on an RV trip and the "plus" 89 octane cost 10cents less than the regular 87. Had no idea what that meant at the time.

I filled up my Ranger 4.0 over a month period in Fountain City, WI. My mileage average increased from 16.5 to 17.5. When I switched back, it went back down to 16.5. E anything is a big F%&#$%G joke.

Pure gas is not available anywhere here in New England. Well, NH and ME have it but its nowhere close to me. Aside from FFV, our cars were made to run on 100% gas. They can take this corn crap and shove it.

Holy cow...eight whole stations in AZ and one happens to be in my hometown. I'll have to swing by one day.
