It has some scratches and whatnot, but nothing too bad. Mostly front and rear bumpers scratched from parking. I don't know much about the history other than a history report someone ran for me on this forum (thanks!) but it sure looks like the trans has been done, and you can see rtv around the timing cover area, so I assume some major repairs and maintenance were done before I even bought it. So far I've buffed it out, cleaned it up under the hood, fixed the TRS, flushed the coolant about 3x already, changed PS fluid, alignment, 4 new tires, etc... I really love the way it drives. So quiet on the freeway and tracks nice and straight.
It did have a broken side mirror, center taillight panel, and a few other parts, but prowling ebay paid off and I got all used factory parts that blend in nicely. Passed CA smog no problems, and it doesn't even leak anything yet! Last edited by TaurusSE98; 11-14-2012 at 04:32 PM. |

Kinda bummed out... My good friend offered me $2500 for it so he's taking ownership. His wife's old maxima is ready for the junkyard. I'm gonna kick myself for selling this car, but they come and go. Never even got a chance to tint it and find factory alloy wheels!!

Don't be bummed out.....seems like you came out ahead, considering the year and mileage(dare I say)of the pretty common series of Taurus.
Don't flog me for the "common" statement,it's just that there are a crapload of them out there, albeit, probably not in the same condition.

I know how common they are, but yeah, not in this condition that I ever see anymore. At least I get to keep my 64 chevy truck... It's been fun driving around pointing out other taurus and sable cars on the road. I'm sure my fiancee is tired of hearing "hey look, theres another taurus" haha
