Changed my camshaft synchronizer (motorcraft) (chirp still there but more quiet) will change sensor as soon as it comes in (had spare time and got bored so i didnt wait ) I did use MAF cleaner on the sensor thus my conclusion that it is the real problem, also a loose connection to wiring..... anyways I also changed the oil!

Mine has a light slip occasionally when its cold, but I believe that's because its low on fluid since I replaced an elbow in one of the lines with a rubber hose.

It does eventually find it, and it hasn't gotten any worse, so I've classified it as a "minor issue" since the only repair is a very costly transmission rebuild according to this site. I figure I may as well wait until it finally loses reverse completely or starts messing up the other gears before I commit to that kind of expense.

I know what you mean..... It takes forever to hit up reverse lol.

Your's does it too? Gets warmed up (after a fair amount of driving) and then, after shifting to reverse, acts like it's in neutral for anywhere from 5-15 seconds?

Nope, that's your transmission going. Better part out the car and junk it now before it finally breaks.

Lol no, I can get a new tranny and install it myself when the time comes. Once it warms up it works great.

Absolutely fantastic out today, 45F and sunny. Great day for car wrenching-on-ing.

Had my craptastic Douglas tires rotated and balanced. They're dry-rotting at 2 years old, so I'll have to budget for some replacements. Thinking of Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 or Yokohama Avid Ascends.

Changed out my oil. It occurred to me that I'm now on the "Severe" maintenance schedule, seeing as it only gets to operating temperature once or twice a week. Guess I'll get to do it more often. Fine by me, at least as long as oil is relatively cheap.

I did notice that the FL400s is significantly shorter than the Purolator equivalent. That's... odd.

Picked up a new serpentine belt that I'll stick on when I get enough free time to draw a routing diagram, and I'll go vacuum her and give her a nice bath too.

Also took a little drive along the coast.

... Then I hit a deer. Or, rather, a deer hit me. Because the more money you put into your car, the bigger a deer magnet it becomes.

Notice how shiny and clean the car is from my $10 car wash two hours prior.

Oh great. Sorry to hear that...

Atleast you're alright. My car has the stock grille and headlights back on it for that exact reason.. so the good stuff (Chome and OEM centi lights) doesn't get damaged by deer. Had many close calls.

Hopefully it is an easy fix. He must have really liked your car to run into it like that.
