Yes.

All you're really doing when you step on the gas pedal is pulling a cable the moves a lever that rotates the throttle plate in the throttle body. Filling up the tank won't change the strength of the throttle return springs.

Bullshit, that's what scientists and engineers want you to think. The government has been placing ethanol in gas just for the reason to make the gas pedal lighter. Not because it saves the environment, but to make you feel like a complete badass piloting a giant hunk of steel around. You feel stronger and healthier because you can push that pedal with less effort. Next thing you know, you're working out those leg muscles at the gym and the government MIBs come in and put you in their special army of ninja mercenaries. Then they ship you off to Antarctica to fight the T-Rex they've hidden from when Jurassic Park failed. Them are mean SOBs so be ready for that. But I digress. Just buy gas without ethanol and your pedal will not feel lighter and the government won't kidnap you to fight T-rexes in Antarctica.

What a load of

It's Antarctic Velociraptors they want you to fight, not some boring T-Rex. Everyone knows that.
