Screeching noise coming from inside tire

Sorry for the constant posts, but I am trying to get all of the issues figured out so that once the snow stops and gets a little warmer I can get it all done at once. There is a screeching noise coming from my passenger side rear tire, this noise is what made me bring the car in for a brake inspection which is when they told me the sway bar link was bad. I thought it was the brakes because the noise stops any time I put any pressure on the brake pedal and starts back up as soon as I let off of it. It isn't a constant noise, it comes and goes and seems to be worse when im doing city driving. It is a pulsating noise, which made me think maybe theres a rough spot in the rotors where every time the pad goes over it is when it makes the noise, but the pads and rotors are EBC and were just put in this past summer. When I drive any further than back and forth to work theres a smell that smells to me like burning brake pad. The shop swore the brakes were good though so I am lost, could this really be a bad sway bar link? Only reason I don't just pull the tire off myself to look right now is because there is one lug nut that is stripped and I don't have an impact gun to get it off

The sway bar end link will not start to squeak / not squeak with brake appication. End links will make clunking noises.

Sound like you may have a seized caliper slider pin or pins.

Also sounds like you need to find a different shop with a mechanic who actually knows something about cars.

Sad part is that it was a ford dealership.

Could also be a shield on the rear brake hitting the rotor as well.

Alright so it looks like im going to have to go to a tire shop or something to see if they will take the stripped lug nut off for me to look at it. Any suggestions for getting a slider pin out if it is stuck?
