Yeah, kind of a quandary about whether the current SHO should be called the Gen 6 since it comes from the 6th generation of the Taurus. (Leaves a strange but important gap in generations 4 and 5.)

Meh, whatever works I guess... Props to you guys that have them though, and welcome to THE Taurus forum!

Well, you make a good point, since technically this car is a 6th Generation Taurus but a 4th Generation SHO...we have be calling it a Gen 4, but for here I think Gen 6 SHO is probably more accurate...any way, it is nice to have found this site.

Why won't any one come out and say what forum you jumped from?
Are you scared they will send ninjas to your house to **** your family pets?

Sounds like SHOForum to me. They tend to act douchey towards owners of the new cars- which are the 6th generation, FYI to the new guys.

Using '4th Gen' to describe the 2010+ cars was coined for the high and mighty ex-Bimmernazis or Porschephiles -turned SHOwners- who refuse to accept that a SHO is a Taurus, not some separate and uber-exclusive model line.

Ha, that sounds true, and the owners of older SHO's don't like it.

This reminds me of the Neon SRT-4 debate, once I was yelled at when I complemented some SRT-4 guy saying "nice Neon" he screamed at me "it's not a Neon! It's an SRT-4"

If the Tauruses in showrooms are gen 6, then so are the SHO's it's not a stand alone model.

Cars are cars, just glad nobody has called me an elitest trouble maker for posting a request to a link to some cheap gauges.

Yes it's the SHOForum

Wow, you are good! And I agree, even though the SHO is a great car, it's not a stand alone...it is a Taurus, hence the reason I wanted to keep the Taurus lettering on my trunk lid instead of removing it. Heck, I even made it larger so people knew it is a Taurus.

Now let's get back to the gauge pod...I can't wait to see the finished pods. Chris really has done a great job with these!
