Get Your Ford Factory Window Sticker

I found this on the Fusion/Milan/Zephyr/MKz forums.

It's pretty cool if you lost yours or never got one with your used FS (seems to work for all Ford & L/M products). It may also be useful for folks looking at used cars online when they post the VIN. You can see exactly what's on the car!

Copy and paste the below link and enter your vin # after the "=" sign. Delete the " ** ", I had to add that so it would show all the characters in the URL. Now you have a soft copy (savable/printable PDF) of your window sticker.

That's actually been posted about before, but there's one problem with using the site. It's only gonna bring up a "valid VIN" response for 2006 MY or newer vehicles. The stickers for 2005 or earlier vehicles are no longer available- and apparently not through the dealership, either. I checked at three of my local dealers a few weeks ago, but they have no way of pulling up a build sticker older than the current MY on their computers.

That's the default response if you enter a VIN that is older than 2006. Trust me, I've been trying relentlessly to get my original sticker; that site is unusable if your F/L/M car is more than 3 years old.

I don't know if this is new information or not, but you can get a duplicate factory window sticker for your Taurus directly from Ford for those cars up to 5 years of age or newer.

Unfortunately you can't get stickers for the older ones, but you can get something equally valuable, the original factory invoice. The document shows what the dealer paid, the window sticker retail pricing, options on the car, when it was built, shipped to which dealer etc., etc! This invoice contains all the data you need to have a replica window sticker made for your Taurus.

There is a guy on Ebay offering this service right now, he just needs the invoice information to create it I assume. The window sticker (if yours is available), and the invoice are free from this department at Ford. You need to snail mail to them at first, but be sure to have your email address on the letter. They will respond with that Pdf file for invoices and will also mail the window sticker if need be.

Here is where you write, make sure you have your full mailing address, email address and of course the VIN number! It will take about 3-4 weeks turnaround time so be patient.

5 years old in Model years or Actual years?
So can you get it for a vehicle MADE in Oct 2004?
Or is 2005 MY the cut off, So vehicle made in Aug 2005 would technically be older than 5 years. This may come in to play during other parts of the year.

I would think in model years. Just write to them and see what they send you.

Thanks for the listing. Got a copy of the W/S for my wife's 2007 Milan. Bought it as a program vehicle, but it didn't have the sticker.

So, the invoice should be available from Ford's system for longer than the actual window sticker? And if I can only get the invoice, who is the eBay seller who offers the service of recreating Ford window stickers?

Yes, Ford is supposed to have the invoices in their system.
